Ørsted is a global leader in renewable energy with a clear vision: to create a world powered entirely by green energy.
At KIRT x THOMSEN, we share this vision too, and it is the foundation of our long-standing partnership with Ørsted.
Challenge
Over the years, we have provided Ørsted with various components for their annual innovation report, typically presented in a static format for internal communication.
For the 2024 edition, Ørsted sought to expand the report's reach, making it available for external audiences and showcasing a broader spectrum of innovation areas across their global organization.
Solution
Using an agile project approach from start to finish, we collaborated with Ørsted to develop an innovative and interactive report format. This format not only communicates innovation but also invites readers to explore a playful digital world.
What sets our work apart is our ability to simplify complex technology, making it accessible to both internal and external audiences. Our skilled team designed a variety of visualizations and animations, playing a crucial role in project management, website development, and co-creation throughout the entire project.
To visually represent each section of the report, we created animated 3D mini worlds that illustrate the various projects within those areas. The website format we developed ensures effective content presentation across mobile devices and all other communication channels.

Result
The new report was successfully launched globally in June 2024. It was prominently featured on the front page of Orsted.com and actively promoted by Ørsted’s CEO and top management on social media.
