Designing for technology change

Introduction

Business Vordingborg, KIRT x THOMSEN, Artelia, and Vordingborg Municipality brought together 40 stakeholders to align on a shared vision to transform Vordingborg into Eastern Denmark’s energy hub by 2030. This workshop marks a crucial step in the collaborative process of co-creating that vision.

Challenge

The focus was on building collaboration between local industry, Business Vordingborg, and the municipality to drive growth and development through green energy projects, coupling the private and public sectors.

Solution

KIRT x THOMSEN acted as a partner and workshop facilitator, introducing design thinking methods to spark productive debate and deliver tangible results. Workshop participants included Better Energy, European Energy, Vattenfall, and others.

We created a range of visuals depicting regional areas, used in slides, posters, and worksheets during the workshop, and designed them for broader use on websites, social media, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

In the final stage, we developed visual representations of the ideas and potential. These visualizations are featured on the Business Vordingborg website.

Result

So far the feedback from the workshop and collaboration has been overwhelmingly positive, by the participants from Better Energy, European Energy, Andel, Eurowind Energy, Copenhagen Energy, Green2x, Arcadia eFuels, Vattenfall, Vordingborg Havn and stakeholders from Business Vordingborg.
